This 5,000 RPM kit utilizes the stock idle (large) spring and will idle at stock levels. 5000RPM kits required use of heavy duty valve springs. It is also recommend that titanium retainers & keepers be installed. Other engine upgrades are needed to run 5000 RPMs.
